With a Thankful Heart
As I was reading a friends blog, I felt challenged, guilty and accountable.
"What if I woke up tomorrow and only had left the things I thanked God for today?"
It's sad to admit, but true; I take most of my life circumstances for granted. Our; blessing of children, a place we can call home and is warm and filled with LOVE, many material possessions, vehicles to drive, pantry full of food, our freedom - just to name a few. When I prompt my kids to say THANK YOU to someone who has gifted them or done something for them, I think...what should I be doing? There is nothing in my life that God hasn't gifted me with each and every day.
I pray that I can give thanks and be grateful everyday to my Father who has richly provided for all my needs.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
1 Chronicles 16:8 Givethanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
1 Chronicles 16:34
O givethanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
Loving my Life as: A wife to the best husband one could ever ask for ~ A full time Domestic Engineer and Family Director ~ A mother to two beautiful/curly haired girls and one handsome little man (who remains a mystery as to whether he will/won't have curly hair) ~ Seamstress ~ Pianist~ Pinterest addict. I'm learning to Savor the Spices of Life that God has blessed me with each and every day. Even in the not so great moments that life may throw us - it's good to take a step back and thank God for the blessings we have. So join me in my journey as I learn that Life is the Music, Love is the Song.
Who am I...that the Lord of all the earth, would care to know my name? Care to feel my hurt...
Who am I that the bright & morning star would choose to light the way, for my ever wondering heart...
Who am I, that the eyes that see the sin – would look on me with love & watch me rise again...
The voice that calmed the sea would call out through the rain & calm the storm in me...
Still you hear me when I’m calling...Lord you catch me when I’m falling and you told me who I am...
I am yours.
Great thought. Something to keep in mind every day.
