Happy 3rd Birthday...

 ...to my sweet Addison!!! You have a beautiful personality (even though you can be ornery at times) and I love love love; your curls, your strong will, how you always say..."Hold you mommy", how you watch over Alivia as if she was your own; and your hugs & kisses!

I know it's only been 3 years, but I remember EVERY detail the day you were born and I hope I never forget. The forecast stated it was going to be the coldest week of the year with bitter temperatures. We drove to the hospital at 7am (scheduled c-section), checked in and then were send to the 5th floor. We did get a few glances while walking down the hallway which made me ponder what they were thinking. Perhaps it was...."I wonder if she's here to have a baby - she looks about due".

But...
My favorite part of that morning before you were born was when we crossed the "bridge" & got to the elevators to go up to labor & delivery. There were 3 elevators to choose from. Daddy chose 1, mommy chose 1 and the other one was up for "grabs". Daddy said..."If this one opens - we're having a girl," while standing in front of his choice of elevators. So naturally, mommy said that if her's opens "We're having a boy." We both looked at the elevator that was up for grabs, then looked at each other and giggled & laughed and said..."If that one opens - we're having twins and it will be a miracle!" 

Guess which one opened up first?

Daddy's....and he was right!!!!

I hope you had a great day swimming at the pool & eating at "Old McDonald Had a Farm". We had lots of fun!.
