Finally!! A rainy day and I've got enough things caught up and I can start blogging again.
This Spring, Jason and I were blessed to be able to travel to Belize...to the island of Ambergris Caye (Amber-gree Key)...without kids...for a whole week!! What an adventure we had! It was an amazing time to re-connect and spend QUALITY time together. From the Zip line, to Scuba diving (1st time for the both of us and our favorite), fresh fish, relaxing on the beach, local shopping - it was a wonderful time!!
We wanna go on "cation".
Hidden Treasure Restaurant - #1 restaurant on the island. AMAZING food!!!
We got a personal tour guide - just for the two of us (none of the cruise ships were coming in for a few days) and it was incredible to have that one on one. We toured the Mayan Ruins: Xunantunich (Sue-non-too-nitch). Amazing how much the Mayans knew about the seasons, stars, etc. We also got to see Hollerin' Monkey's. Honestly - they sounded like roaring lions.
Then we went to the Zip line. Yes, that is a photo of what their roads are like. I think I will welcome the United States potholes any day!!
Scuba Diving - our FAVORITE!!! Pictures don't do justice. We also got to swim with nurse sharks. We did NOT see any Great Whites (thank goodness!).
The lady below - her name is June. She and her husband make bowls, dishes, etc out of Ziricote (pronounced zeer-a-coat-a) wood. It's the most dense wood ever found. She is actually sanding down the bowl we purchased.
A menu we saw outside of a "restaurant" (we didn't go in).
But this photo is for a Dear Friend...you know who you are!!
Ahhh....Paradise!!

We read our Woodford County Journal while on vacation! (I keep forgetting to send in our photo).
Schrock Repair shirt - a ritual - and free advertising.
Top left photo (below) is over Texas when they were having a MAJOR fire. Top right photo is of the Belize International Airport. Yep - that's all the bigger it is. And to think - we missed Reese Witherspoon by 4 days!!
Bottom left photo is over the American Airlines only terminal at Dallas Ft/Worth. We didn't realize how HUGE this airport is. The Bottom right photo is over downtown Dallas.
